I was super excited to hit the streets for Fashion Night Out. Today, FNO is not only celebrated in New York, it is celebrated from coast to coast from New York to Florida to Texas and California. Here is how I celebrated Fashion Night Out in Houston.
My first stop was to ShopGirl’s party which was right in the middle of the Galleria. Joy Sewing is the fashion journalist for the Houston Chronicle (local newspaper). I was delighted that I was invited to her party. The party was filled with fashionable people, food and drinks. They where also applying complementary lashes to every guest; to bad I already had lashes on.
Simon Fashion Now is a fashion show of ready to wear fashions from the department stores. You will see the fashion on the Runway and you can go to purchase those items immediately from the department stores. I was invited to the Preview Show to view the fashions that will be on the Runway coming up September 6th-8th.
The Preview Show was for fashion bloggers to view the clothing, mingle with others in the fashion industry and discuss the outlooks in a Q and A.
When I walked into the intimate venue, I was greeted with a glass champagne and appetizers. I mingled with others in the fashion industry from bloggers to fashion photographers to fashion public relation staff and the models (of course). Here are the pictures from last night’s event.
I would call Touche’ an artist who also has a love for photography. He capsules the female body in an artistic way and shows beauty in each shot. When I was invited to his Black Tape Affair on September 1st, I knew that I would there. I wanted to see and experience his creativity up close and personally.
When I made it to the M Lounge, I talked with Touche’ for a few minutes as he was preparing for his show. He thanked me for coming out to support him and I told him that I was curious to see how he used electrical tape to create his designs. He smiled and said the show will start momentarily.
He not only pushes the envelope, he torn the envelope wide opened with this show. I noticed that some people where in shock, others where all smiles and I simply embraced his creative works. I must say that in my opinion, Touche’ and his team put together a good show. If you want to hire him for any type of photo shoot, he can be reached at 713-370-4400 and you can also find him on Facebook under Touche’ Photos. Check out his work from The Black Tape Affair for yourself.
On this particular day, I was going to get my hair fixed by my amazing hair stylist Sabrina Smith from Alex Burton Salon. She does such an awesome job with my hair. She is all about healthy hair first than style. I love the way that she takes pride in her work, hell I have seen her make miracles out of a lot of women’s hair. She does all type of hair from super fine to super course. You should make your appointment today just call her at 832-713-9754. If you tell her that I sent you, she will give you the discounted price.
I love when my hair is bone straight!
Lets talk about my outfit! Whenever I go to get my hair done, I want to be comfortable and cute. I want to be able to walk out of the doors of the salon and be ready to hit the streets or whatever comes my way. On this day, I am wearing a long strapless blue dress with a multiple colored thick belt, a yellow flower ring, tribal styled earrings, an egyptian styled cuff and a pair of flats.
